About New Life Church

House Church (Acts 2:42-47): Our launch into House Church comes out of a need to do real relational church with an emphasis on making an impact on our community.

New Life Church is a Bible believing church, holding firmly to the Word of God for every area of life. We believe that all people are of intrinsic value to God. We believe that God gives every believer the authority to act in His name.

In our Communities:

  • Lives are dysfunctional.
  • Relationships are not working.
  • Marriage breakdown is continually on the rise.
  • Children are neglected.
  • Teenage problems are spiraling.
  • People are without hope.
  • Crime figures are rocketing
  • People are facing unemployment, poverty and homelessness continually

Our vision is to see ‘Transformed Lives, Transforming Community!'

  • Our goal is to develop house churches all over the Hastings and Rother, Discipling people to ‘Go’ into their communities
  • To raise up strong leaders to lead each house church and disciples who will naturally share the gospel with others
  • We believe that every believer is qualified to take the gospel to his or her area of influence, to pray for healing and to expect the Lord to follow with signs and wonders

Our Values are:

Regarding the person and work of Jesus Christ

We believe...

  • That Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth to offer himself as the perfect answer to mankind’s greatest problem - separation from God.
  • That he died on a cross in the place of every member of the human race, that he was buried and rose from the dead exactly as the Bible recounts.
  • That he ascended to heaven and will come again to reign.
  • That as a result everyone can receive forgiveness of sins if they will accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

Regarding the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. It teaches us...

  • All we need to know about God.
  • How to have a relationship with Him.
  • The answer to every human need.

Regarding the responsibility of a believer

Every believer has a responsibility to...

  • Grow in their faith and play their part in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
  • Live life in the expectancy of Christ's return, full of the Holy Spirit, exemplifying Jesus Christ through word, deed and lifestyle.
  • Develop a deeper relationship with God through prayer, Bible reading and worship.
  • Reach out as Christ's messenger with the Good News to those around them.

Regarding church

  • We believe that the church is the people and not a building.
  • We view church as being everywhere believers are - the workplace, the supermarket, school and college.
